WHAT IS TRIBE4TOMORROW?
We are a group of W&M students who want to help you make an impact on your college experience and on the college experience of future members of the Tribe. Our purpose is to educate our peers about the importance of philanthropy and giving back to the College. We want to encourage people to give back while they are students so that we can all become better W&M alumni.
What can you do? If you donate $5 back to the College, you are investing in the future of William & Mary. Think about all of the experiences you’ve had here so far. By giving back, you are giving future members of the Tribe the opportunity to have those same experiences.
What can your class do? We need at least 25% of each class – 2016, 2017 & 2018 – to donate back to the College.
What happens when we reach 25% participation? A few generous W&M alumni have agreed to donate a total of three $10,000 grants (one per class) that will then be split up into 5 $2,000 grants. Each student donor has the opportunity to vote for an area of the College (academic departments, athletics, etc.) to then receive one of these grants. If your class reaches 25% participation, the grants will be distributed as gifts to the top 5 areas selected by donors of the class.
So remember, with your $5 donation to the College and with 25% class participation, your favorite area of W&M could receive a gift of $2,000!
